Parks Sunday, Check-In Monday, & Casting
So, I'm a day behind on blogging, but I'm trying my best to catch up! I was so excited to Sunday to go to the parks with my family! We started the day in Hollywood Studios and rode Toy Story Midway Mania, Tower of Terror, and then Rock n' Roller Coaster before heading over to Magic Kingdom. We only rode a few rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad before heading over to Tomorrowland for lunch at Cosmic Rays Starlight Café. I only ate a Mickey pretzel because I was saving up my appetite for Via Napoli later that night. We finish Magic Kingdom around 4:00 PM and then went to Epcot where I ended up meeting with my friend from back home Courtney who also checks in on Monday. We rode Mission Space together and then went and walked around World Showcase and ended up getting seated about 20 minutes early at Via Napoli. We got a delicious cheese pizza to all share and we also got two salads and some bread and oil, which my brother loves!!! After we finished eating, we rode the boat ride in the Mexico pavilion and then me and my brother rode Single Rider on Test Track! We had a long, yet incredible day!
The morning of check-in, I was super anxious and excited to meet my roommates and find out my location and where we would be living!! We were hoping to meet up Sunday night, but instead, everyone was just so busy with their own plans that we decided to meet up at check-in for 7:45 AM. Only one out of all six of my roommates received a check-in time from 7:45 - 8:45 AM. On the Onboarding website, it said that not all applicants receive a check-in time, and if you do not, then you can come anytime between 8-10:00 AM for the best check-in experience! Vista Way was packed full of College Programer's, but it was all sooo exciting seeing everyone ready to check-in! When we went to park, Kristen, Bonnie, and Emily were all right next to us, so I got to see them first and we all walked over to the line at check-in! Sherri got their next and ran up to me and gave me a HUGE HUG and it was just soo exciting!!! Catherine got there a little bit later, so we went through check-in without her, sadly. We got SPECIAL nametags and our program guides and then waited in a separate line divided by last names A-L and M-Z. We found our locations first and OH MY GOSH guess where I'll be working for the next SIX MONTHS!?!?
MAGIC KINGDOM IN TOMMOROWLAND!!!!!
I'm so incredibly happy!!! I couldn't believe it!! My dream location was Magic Kingdom and I thought it would be so hard to be placed there, but I got it! I'm so excited to start!! My roommates and I were all placed together to live in Chatham Square in a 4 Bedroom apartment! All six of the roommates I was talking to and planning to room with were all placed together and we also got two random roommates. So in total, there's eight of us - Me, Sherri, Kristen, Bonnie, Emily, Catherine, Katie, and Janet. Our apartment is sooo cute and so big!! I love it! I'll definitely film an apartment tour once everything is all settled in!
Anyways, at check-in, we met with a bunch of different people and received a lot of information, which was very exciting, but also very overwhelming! We received our housing ID's as well as a schedule as to when our casting and housing meetings would be. Me and Emily had casting literally ten minutes after we finished checking in, so we had to hurry up and board the bus to casting for 9:00 AM. My mom was still in the family/visitor area at Vista Way so I had to call her to tell her quickly what was going on and that I would meet up with her later.
CASTING was amazing!! Honestly, it's nothing super special, but I've always wanted to walk inside of the building and see the famous Alice and Wonderland doorknobs! We found out what time we had TRADITIONS at and what our training schedules would look like! I have Traditions at 8:00 AM on Thursday and I have to be at the bus for 6:55 AM. I have training Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so this weekend will be very busy for me!
Yesterday was Tuesday February 3 and I spent my first night in the apartment! Everything is just so nice! I had my housing meeting at 1:00 PM and I met up with my friend Courtney and three of her roommates there! The meeting was really informative and the two speakers talked to us about housing, the busses, safety and things like that. They showed a montage video towards the end of the presentation about things that the housing team puts together for CP's! They have busses that take you to Universal and Busch Gardens and they also have housing events and welcome events and the first one is tomorrow!! I'm sure I'll be taking lots of pictures at that! I'm so excited and couldn't be any happier right now!
